I drew some of them up to 3 times just to make SURE I got them right #Which my lazy ass almost never bothers with #THE BITS WITH SAM UNSPOOLING ARE MY PRIDE AND JOY #I wanted to make the part where they talk to the Visitor a bit worse actually #Their body being barely held together by this creature who only vaguely understands what a human being is even supposed to look like....#and if they move to fast their body literally lags and uncoils..#I wanted to have them sharply move their head and have them look distressed when their eyes lagged a behind #but oughgh I couldnt get it to look right and I was already dying from how long I spent on it so just pretend that happened and imagine it #Other notes ermmmm. I think I got the order that the astronomers joined a little mixed up. Sorry Beryl and Aurelius.#Also while drawing the DnD scene I imagined Lyle and Masked Thing holding hands now I feel like theres something there but idk what it is #Anyway do with that what you will #Also I remembered that half the reason I gave Sam a cleft pallet was cause I wanted them to keep a recognizable feature when they mutated #so on the last frame one of the breathing holes has a notch in it bcs thats the breathing hole that used to be Sams mouth :3 #Idk if thats like. wholesome to anyone else but I like it. I wish they made Starscream an actual threat again, make him someone the Autobots and Decepticons have to team up to take down

#god hes such a unique character #like the absolute audacity he had to say that he will betray Megatron right to his face #and he never learns!!!#i get they made him weaker to make him more sad and sympathetic or whatever to big bad megatron #but one of the reason that starscream even was second in command is because he was a THREAT #he was a world ending THREAT #multiple times!! He forced Optimus and Megatron to team up #i dont really care about the unethical power dynamics in megastar but i think making them more equal in power makes them more interesting #he had megatron on his knees in the cartoon because he was strong enough to do so #them circling one another like a dance but not able to seperate #i just want him to be evil no sad backstory hes just a guy who wants power thats all but hes so goofy about it you cant help but laugh #if you want a sad sympathetic jet theres thundercracker whom i also love #but dammit his power did not scale with megatrons over the years which kinda loses that starscream charm #imagine the autobots take down megatron and then starscream takes over and hes 3 times more cruel #hes such a good 'final boss'#transformers #transformers g1 #maccadams #starscream #g1 starscream #ramble in the tags #idk feeling controversial

ive exclusively been playing it by ear with the makeup (no tutorials or anything) and i somehow always end up looking like a secretary kind of so ive been practicing looking exasperated while wearing makeup cuz i figure i gotta work with what im given ya know

all characters are ambidextrous when im writing them (< guy who doesnt know the difference between left and right)

#SEE THE THING IS SOMETIMES THE SWORD LOOKS BETTER ON THE OTHER SIDE COMPOSITIONALLY AND YOU JUST FORGET THAT THATS NOT HOW IT WORKS #and. and then sometimes. you are 100% convinced that what youve drawn is a sword in the left hand. but you are wrong #sigh. i need to stop writing about characters with swords. i cant keep doing this #theres an added layer of hilarity with vulpis (foxboy) in that i originally wanted him to be right handed and then immediately forgot that #after the first panel and started drawing him left handed. so now he's left handed bc he uses his left hand in all but the very first panel #it's way easier for me to keep it consistent with my mc (cottontail) because since the fight scenes are kinda from her pov her back is #usually to the camera. so i can just put the sword on the side that i am actively holding my pen while drawing #and you would THINK it would be easy to just. reverse that. with vulpis. but apparently fucking not #AND FOR SOME REASON THIS ONLY APPLIES TO CERTAIN THINGS?? like cottontail has an asymmetrical character design #with a big spot over the right side of her face. and i have NEVER ONCE fucked up and drawn it on the left. the sword tho? fair game. why #WHATEVER. it's fine im fine this doesn't eat me up inside. i am fine with being perpetually unable to understand simple directions #asks

the idea that demise controls not just ganondorf but really anything deemed 'evil' seems to be very widespread in the fandom and im wondering where that came from?

demise was one throw away end boss that, even with the unfortunate lore implications and damage it did to any other antagonist even in retrospect, was never associated with controlling others? (isnt it mostly ghirahim that summons or corrupts things in skyward sword too?) is it just bc he is the (said to be) the ultimate origin of all things "bad" so clearly he is the one controlling everything even post mortem? he is never relevant again and plays an honestly tiny role in the very game he is introduced in (the only one too)- we dont even know what he is capable of given how little he does even in his own fight- he very clearly dies at the end, doesnt fi even say whatever is left of him will be fully eradicated within the master sword??

is it bc of the one line he is always reduced to? (its the damn line he always gets reduced to isnt it..)

#my post #my art #jrwi pd #prime defenders #fanart #yey <3 #i have Reasons for everyones animal #wiwi is a deer bcus like. deer in headlights. prey animal. hes so scared literally all of the time. also made me think of chronic wasting #disease.#dakota is a dog because of course he is. no explanation needed. but hes specificially a pitbull bcus people look at him and think hes a bad #kid yknow. hes failing school he trespasses up the sides of buildings hes always late. idk something about how people think pitbulls are #inherently bad dogs.#also they have the biggest goofiest smiles and thatz so dakota to me #ashe is a coyote bcus i Needed him to be a social animal. and fun fact- coyotes dont live in packs but they live in family groups!#vyncent is a wasp (not because of Revenge of the Wasps but that was a funny coincedence)#because i needed a way to make him still visibly seperate from the prime people. so i made him a bug rather than a mammal.#hes a wasp bcus yknow workers drones hive mind. vyncent struggles with his identity. with taking action. with knowing who he is and what he #wants. hes a follower. chose wasp specifically mostly bcus a) yellow and he has yellow magic #and b) bcus they can sting a lot. and hes knife!#tide is a sheep bcus hes a clone. yknow. like dolly the sheep!#also a bit bcus like sheep get herded around and tide thinks being a hero is about following orders (at least in s1 he does lol)#mark is also a coyote bcus like ashe is one. but alsooo coyotes are opportunistic. will work with whoever to hunt. and well you know mark.#he did what he had to do.#they also go off on their own away from their family group to hunt! and mark left ashe alone to go work. yaaaay #and the trickster!!! i kindof randomly chose 5 animals (1 for each of the array) based on spookiness #so theres a rattle snake (tail) a raven (wing) a bat (other wing) an owl (neck) and a geep (goat/sheep. horns)#i thought itd be fun if it could twist its head all the way around all freaky style :]#also this is cursed as fuck but overlords whole thing was turning people into animals right. would this make his thing in this au be making #animals into people?? thats horrifying #and also why i drew mark w the bandages bcus i wasnt sure whether to make him half lizard still or. part human.

Every single chapter is important. Every panel, all the dialogue, every page and how it transfers into the next one... I 100% believe no questions that every single decision made in hrkg is intentional. Even the tiny chapters that are like seven pages, they're important! Even if it feels like nothing happened in the chapter, something did. Something important. If it's not glaring, it may be a tiny reflection. If it's not super loud, it might just be quiet. But it's there. I promise you it's there. A lot of this comes from the fact that i am obsessed with this piece of media and I don't expect casual enjoyers to analyze every chapter, but just because you don't see it doesnt mean it's not there. The development, the meaning, the purpose, it's all there and always has been, it reveals itself bit by bit and i stand by that
